We found what we thought was a certified preowned 2021 KIA Seltos SX Turbo. The vehicle turned out to be a used "as-is" vehicle. There was damage that was immediately visible and to the dealership's credit, they pointed it out. The Hatchback had damage and the dealership repaired the damage. The problem was there was additional damage that was not brought to our attention. The front bumper the rear bumper and particularly the hood were all damaged. The hood was particularly hard to see, but once you noticed it, it was hard to ignore. Either hail damage or heat damage that warped the hood. The manager offered us a $500 cheque as compensation. Repairing and painting the hood will be quite expensive and if it was brought to our attention initially we could have made an educated decision in terms of purchasing or not. My wife and I must take some responsibility because we should have inspected more closely; but when sales immediately points out some damage, you assume that all the damage will be openly identified. We are an older senior couple (66+) and maybe we were a little too trustworthy.
